I am excited to begin my 20th year teaching elementary school. I am the school counselor at a wonderful k-5 school in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Our students come from homes with various backgrounds, resources, and support. More than half of our students are on free or reduced lunches Northwoods is a title 1 school. In spite of this, the kids come to school curious, excited, and ready to learn. Some of my students struggle socially, emotionally, and academically.Our goal is to teach the skills students will need to succeed in middle school, high school, and beyond.
