Using these reading and writing resources will allow my students and I to set reading and writing goals and construct a means for accomplishing them. I plan on using these resources to help me become a more innovative and deliberate in my instructional practice. This keeps learning fresh and new and students become and excited and motivated to learn. In the book, Disrupting Thinking, the author tells how powerful reading can be if students are able to understand the relationship between themselves and the text and if the teacher is able to construct meaning and the purpose of the disruption which leads to life long readers.

About my class
