I am creating this project to help expand the current instrument inventory for my elementary students. In August of 2016, I presented a drum circle during open house performance. During this performance, both parents and students were able to participate in a drum circle together. Parents learned that drum circles can be used for stress reduction, communication, and other therapeutic avenues. Drum circles give a sense of community. A community where everyone belongs and feels safe. This upcoming year, my music classes will be exploring music from all across the world. We would love your support in our new musical adventure!
