The students of 5th grade would benefit from a standing desk in so many ways. It would allow for a time to move from a sedentary environment of sitting at a desk all day to a more engaging experience. The fidget bar on the desk allows students to swing their feet quietly when needing movement breaks throughout their day. This desk would allow the students to be more active while still participating in their academics of the classroom. Listening to class instructions, completing classwork, and taking tests can ALL be accomplished while using this specialized desk. This would be an amazing contribution to 5th grade students to have year round to improve their focus and participation in the classroom. It is my hope that a standing desk will give 5th grade students the opportunity to move and work out their energy and be successful participants of the classroom!
