The future of science is hands-on learning through STEM based projects, and my students are the future scientists to fulfill the mission! Funding of this project enables my students to think like scientists and experience science in a real world format. My students need STEM science materials such as the Real-World STEM Challenge Kit and STEM Science Stations. Problem solving is a difficult concept for children to learn, but for my students that have cognitive and learning delays, problem solving is all the more important to students that have communication and comprehension difficulties. Through practicing problem solving in the classroom, my students can practice communicating solutions, and to listen to other ideas. They can gain confidence through positive experiences and take that knowledge beyond school into the real world.
