I teach fabulous fourth graders in Anthem, Arizona! I have a large gifted cluster of students in my classroom, as well as "typical" fourth graders, and students on 504s and IEPs. My diverse group of students make learning and teaching fun! We spend a great deal of time building classroom community and the students work cooperatively in an environment that is positive, safe, and supportive. The students learn just as much from me as they do from one another, and the mix of structure and fun, sets my students up for success. Each year I am amazed by how much my students learn and grow, through discourse, hands-on-experiments, rigorous assignments, student-centered projects, and individual conferences with me.
