Students have difficulty focusing on the task in front of them due to their constant need to move and be active; unfortunately, this can sometimes hinder their learning. With these materials, my students will be able to feel more comfortable in classroom and focus on the task at hand. These materials will help them get more out of what they are learning. Through the year, we gathered together as a team during instruction, as well as worked around the room to promote active learning and a positive classroom community. With these new materials, I believe we will have even more success with our active learning and students will have a place in the classroom to call their own. With a classroom rug, balance boards, and wobble chairs, my students will be able to get comfortable, stay active, and move while focusing on the task! Although I already use many strategies to help keep my students engaged, I need more materials to help each student be successful! My goal is to provide multiple options for my students to choose throughout the day. I want my students to be excited to come in each day and pick a place to work where they will be able to be fully engaged.
