Gardening supplies for this project will allow students to have hands-on activities with edible plants from planting to harvesting. We want encourage students to care for the environment by learning to tend a garden. We also want to build a sense of community by engaging all students. We have a fun and educational year planned for our garden projects. We will begin our year's activities with preparing the beds on our rooftop garden with new soil. Students will then plant winter/spring harvest plants so they will be able to see the full cycle of planting an edible garden. We also do beekeeping. We have a pollinator garden that needs new plants. The bees help pollinate our edible plants helping them to be successful.
