Your generous donation to our classroom will provide 4 tablets that my students can use to cooperatively research topics we are studying, increase literacy and math proficiency, and provide authentic assessment in a timely and engaging manner. The tablets will allow students to extend their technology proficiency and prepare them to apply their learning to real life meaningful situations. The additional technology would also give my students a much needed boost of practice in the areas of listening and speaking. Students who are confident in their listening and speaking abilities will be ready to face the challenges of higher education and the workplace and will be more engaged in learning. The tablets will not only provide more opportunities for practice of literacy and math skills but also opens greater access to books, resources, and materials that they might not otherwise be able to afford. Finally, I will use the tablets along with apps such as SeeSaw to share our learning with parents and strengthen the home school connection.
