This year my students have access to a nearly bare library. A few books were retired on my shelf and I purchased as many as I could. I barely made a dent. My kiddos are enjoying the books that I purchased and have taken turns "reading" them. They are definitely budding readers. I want to capture their curiosity and get them excited about reading. By having amazing books in our own classroom library, my students have easy access to great literature. Students should have access to a variety of books, in order to find books that capture their different levels and interests.
