Having access to enough copies of Their Eyes Were Watching God will ensure that each of my students can have a copy to bring home while we're reading. This will help them complete assignments and encourage them to read on their own! For most of the novels we read, we only have enough copies for one class. Therefore, the students have to leave the book in school. Having 60 books will allow them to complete their writing assignments at home. In my classroom, we will use this book as we study the Harlem Renaissance and also the role of women during the 1920s.
