I do everything within my reach to make the classroom a home away from home for students. These students are eager to learn and to have new experiences. They all come from homes of parents not born in the US, and many are still not fluent in English. It is the goal to help all these students succeed and have them be ready for college. Our school does not have a library and we do not have a wide variety of books in the small classroom bookshelf. These students only have the classroom opportunity to read and get help reading. The majority have no one at home to guide them during reading.
