Research shows that students benefit a great deal from flexible seating. Students are more likely to learn when they are in a relaxing environment where they feel confident and comfortable. I am looking to turn my classroom from a traditional room into a modern learning oasis. Last year, my students and I used all of our resources to provide different seating options. We turned boxes into seats, utilized floor space and used old swivel chairs as "conference only" seats. I saw a great change behaviorally and academically. The materials listed in this project will allow me to fully and effectively tackle flexible seating in the upcoming school year.
