The donations for the students will be used on a daily basis. They will enter the room, put on their lab coats and instantly be transformed into scientists. My students need to believe they CAN DO science! For many of my students, science is a class where they feel intimidated and fear taking risks. I have witnessed this change once they put on a lab coat. It becomes almost super hero like. The lab coat represents a uniform that gives them the courage to try anything in our classroom lab. It is so important the students believe they have the ability to succeed in science. It opens extensive doors as they leave middle school and enter high school.
