These materials will be used by the students to help aid them in their business competition events with BPA (Business Professionals of America). Our Presentation, Graphic Design, Project Development and Website Design teams will use the Chromebooks to research data and design their projects. The interactive projector will be used to enhance the overall professionalism and level of engagement while displaying/presenting their projects to the judges. We have more than one team for certain events and they will normally compete at the same time, so in order for them to be ready to present we had to run from one room to the next, passing on equipment. If we have two easel stands to hold their posters/graph boards, that will allow the students to present their project without the stress of wondering if they will have the equipment in time before their competition starts. My students will be able to simply focus on the information they are presenting, and not whether their materials are going to work or not! When they have an opportunity to use/interact with new and current technology, it decreases the competitive disadvantage my students face when competing against wealthier school districts or private schools. It also increases their motivation as well as their drive to be successful in their competitive event. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve the student’s ability to compete on the same level, you will change our students' lives for the better, because you inspire them to believe in themselves because others are believing in them.
