These Snap Circuit kits will give all of my students the opportunity to become more invested in their learning. In our new problem solving space, I hope to create a safe space for students to employ the engineering design process. They will try their ideas, have successes, make mistakes, learn from those mistakes, and then redefine their solutions. Having the understanding that learning is a process and it’s ok to make mistakes is key to my project. Hands-on activities are the best way to practice the engineering design process, needed to develop critical thinking skills. My students will be able to develop their problem solving skills, determination, and grit first hand as they think like an engineer to create a workable circuit to power their device.
