These science supplies (dissection trays, dissection tool kits, and rubber gloves) will help equip our science lab with the tools that students need to learn more about life science and the parts of the body. In addition, the trays and dissection kits can be reused by multiple classes in the future. With health care becoming a growing career choice, I am confident that by developing a better understanding of the parts of the body thru dissection of frogs or fetal pigs, my students will be excited to learn more about life science and health science in the future. I will front load my students with vocabulary and specific content before we begin the dissection. I am also reaching out to local biology students at the university for support. As I see my students show an interest in the field of biology, I will pair them up with a mentor. As a science teacher, it is my job to help students recognize their talents, pursue their passions, and prepare them for higher education and careers.
