For many students, the hassle of traditional PC computing often prevent them from making the most of the classroom technology. Technology has the power to transform how students learn and to prepare them for their future. With this in mind, we would like to acquire Chromebooks for our classroom. Chromebooks boot quickly, are ready when we are, and are flexible enough to easily move to where students are working. Your donation for Chromebooks will give students a new avenue for exploration, communication, collaboration, and reading and math skill practice. It will also help make possible more differentiated learning. This year, we are implementing a student-centered, student choice learning time called Genius Hour. It allows students to ask questions, research, learn, create and present about ideas they are interested in. Chromebooks will be a huge part of the research, discovery, and presenting portion of Genius Hour.
