My first grade students are busy in school and are loving the writers workshop model by Lucy Caukins. This excitement in writing is so wonderful; unfortunately our supplies are depleted and my students' financial hardships prevent them from being able to bring in their own supplies. My students are in need of markers, copy paper, glue sticks and pencils in order to continue being amazing authors and illustrators! Having students be creative in their writing notebooks make them more authentic and are a sense of pride for each and everyone of them. If you donate to our project, you will be giving my students supplies that they no longer have. Many students were able to bring glue, crayons and pencils to school at the beginning of the year but our families are unable to continue to replenish these supplies.
