Students love to move and it is helpful for them to move while learning. By providing flexible seating, my students will have the opportunity to change positions frequently and this will help them stay on task. If students can "Move and Bounce" as they learn the possibilities are endless! I love providing my students with a choice and flexible seating gives the students the opportunity to pick where they sit while they work! The items I've picked will allow for alternative seating for my students. Wobble stools allow the student to safely move while working at a table or desk. Children are known for rocking back in their chair and this solves the problem because it encourages it. The stability balls will also allow students to move and bounce while they work. Students like having and option and my goal is to put something other than a chair at the reading table, around the iPad Station and the writing table. This will allow the students to have something different...not just a chair---and it actually helps with focus research suggests! I'm excited about the opportunity to provide stools, balls, and other options for my students!
