I am a first year teacher and am in need of help setting up my classroom. The majority of our students are lower income and don’t have an organized place at home for their school supplies. They need to leave items at school so they will be available for use at school. I wanted a place for students to leave their work in the classroom and depend on it always waiting for them. Not everything in their lives is dependable and knowing that they will have what the need for class without any worry can mean a lot to a child (this is where the storage drawers come in). Supplies such as pencils, colored pencils, scissors, glue sticks and pencils will help them to create various projects in the journey through science! The folders and notebooks will assist the kids in developing organizational skills that they will be able to carry with them throughout their educational careers.
