I teach the most amazing and brilliant students, first and foremost. My school is a title 1 campus and my students come to school ready to learn each day no matter the difficulties they are going facing in their personal life/at home. Though my students are only in 7th grade (ranging from 12-15), the face more than we could know. My classroom is a safe haven for these kids. A place where they are welcome, accepted, and know I am always there to listen. With me being a single mom, I don't have much extra to do to my classroom what I have always wanted. Something bright, welcoming, and differentiated. A place they look forward to coming to each day.
