My early childhood classroom is home to a delightful group of three and four year olds who plunge into learning as soon as they enter Scherkenbach ES. We have been working diligently as a student body to create outdoor classroom spaces (as shown in the photo of our outdoor garden just created in the 2016-17 school year) where children direct and own their own learning. In our Pre K classroom, we are no different; we too are ready to initiate and resolve our own understandings! Please help us as we attempt to create storage and materials for our outdoor classroom including a shed, storage bins, and interactive, child-friendly, developmentally appropriate materials where young minds can unlock the mysteries that await them!
