My students need the ability to move, wiggle, and work productively. Allowing them to have a choice in how they work each day allows them to take ownership in their learning. They will be able to pick a place to sit the works specifically for them. The plastic caddies allow them to still have their own personal space for their belongings. The research behind flexible seating is so strong that it is only a matter of time before this is mandatory in all schools. As a person who struggles with sitting still for long periods of time, I can vouch for the students and say having an option other than a chair allows for more success.
