In our classroom we have built a safe and welcoming environment that meets the needs of ALL learners. With these materials it would allow my students to have a comfortable and engaging area where they can become readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and historians while meeting their needs as learners. Having a classroom rug would allow my students a place to go on adventures in the books they read, engage in meaningful conversations, and provoke higher level thinking. In our classroom we our a community. With this rug we will have our morning meetings and again continue building our sense of community in our classroom.
