Every year my classes participate in a unit about social justice. Students are encouraged after watching a variety of documentaries to choose a social justice issue and champion a solution to the issue. The key is to put yourself in someone else's shoes. They study political and social artwork from a variety of time periods in art history and create a graphic poster to educate about their cause. This year the students want to use the Badge-Master 3 System to become moving art galleries "wearing" their art through the designing of buttons which combine text as well as images to teach the world about their issue and motivate positive change.
