Remember the big test? The SAT, ACT, GRE, TSI, or any other certification or standardized test. Think about test anxiety. Were you calm? Nervous? Apathetic? Defeated? Think about students that are learning virtually in a world of uncertainty. Our scholars ultimately want to succeed but they need a little motivation. I want to uplift our scholars, while propelling them toward the ultimate goal of graduation. This year, our scholars that have yet to pass the End of Course (EOC) Biology State of Texas Assessment for Academic Readiness (STAAR), will participate in a gamified version of EOC Biology STAAR retest preparation. Please help us reward their mental fortitude by incentivizing the retesters course. We want to provide our top 5 scholars with their choice of electronic encouragement. Students' performance, effort, and growth will be monitored, measured, and rewarded at the end of the 1-month intensive. This reward is not simply based on academic achievement, but on each scholar's individual efforts to maximize their potential, in hopes that they will carry these habits into the next phase of their life.
