I teach students with special needs transitioning from High School to Vocational Education. My students currently sit at elementary furniture that is from other school and use pie shaped tables. This furniture is not appropriate for my students who are transitioning to the next phase of their life. My special needs students should have the same classroom condition as their general education peers in their environment. Any general ed classroom in High School is equipped with tables that are appropriate for them. My student's should have the same opportunity. NYC does not provide us with the tables we need to help our students, especially special needs students. Please help me to create a classroom that is warm and supportive for my students.
