As my students come into our classroom each day, they begin their day with Exploration Time. They build, explore, and create with various materials which provides opportunities for them to collaborate and problem solve. The requested materials will provide my students with more opportunities to create with play-doh, build with various types of blocks, & explore speed with ramps. Having a variety of materials, students have more choice in the types of activities to begin their day. This type of learning is critical to their social learning as well as their academic learning. Students build and then create blueprints for others to recreate their original designs. They are the architects of their learning and that continues throughout the day!
