Recently my school lost it's computer lab, and we were left with just seven laptops for my 26 students. Most of my students don't have internet access, let alone a computer in their home; so school is the only opportunity for them to use technology. My students hardly ever use a keyboard thanks to touch screens and smart phones. These tablets with detachable keyboards, would allow them to use the internet to complete our google classroom assignments and give them an opportunity to practice their much needed typing skills. The students are required to complete an online learning support program for two 45 minute sessions a week. With the amount of computers we currently have, the students are unable to effectively complete the required work. If this project is funded, my students will be able to complete their assignments each week, and get the adequate practice on the computer needed to become well-rounded young adults.
