Scholastic News magazines are delivered weekly. They are cross-curricular (Social Studies, Science, English Language Arts) non-fiction texts that we can explore in the classroom and also at home. Reading about and discussing the engaging topics of Scholastic News will extend our real world connections and offer an opportunity for a school/home connection as well. The students will be excited to not only read the articles, but also explore the online activities included in the subscription, complete the quizzes and puzzles on the back page, and take their own copy of the magazine home to read and explore with their families.
