This school y ear will be the beginning of my 12th year of teaching. Last year I taught 3rd grade. This year I am going back down to kindergarten!! I am so excited! Having taught kindergarten, pre-k, and PPCD, I know an early childhood classroom MUST have hands-on activities! My goal is to make our classroom successful, fun, and learner centered. In order to this I need to provide my students many different ways to learn. My classroom is VERY small. It was the kitchen at our school! I will have approximately 22-25 kindergarteners. Our school is a Title I school. So, it is vital that I provide these kiddos with opportunities and experiences that will help them grow academically and socially. Needless to say, there is NO budget. Therefore, I am trying to get creative. Garage sales and thrift stores have always been my friend. Now, Donors Choose and garage sales will be my BEST FRIENDS!!
