What 5 or 6 year old do you know who sits in one spot? This year my goal is to provide my students with an environment that gives my students an opportunity for their best learning. Young students want to be on the move. While letting them run around the room won't provide them with the focus necessary for learning, neither will requiring them to sit in the same hard chair all day. With flexible seating, like picnic tables, a carpet, balance balls and clipboards. around and outside the classroom, my students will have the stimulation needed to keep their brains working and focused on the skills needed to succeed in the classroom.
