Too many of today's classroom want our students to practice sitting in a seat versus supporting our students developing identities as independent and autonomous learners. The materials requested would be used to further our efforts in the classroom in fostering a classroom environment that is comfortable, caring, and respectful of the fact that learning takes place any time and anywhere! Ultimately, the ability to integrate more and more flexible seating, in addition to our current flexible seating options, allows us to move closer and closer towards a student-centered classroom. The benefits are numerous and would be particularly beneficial to our all boy learners!
