The middle school students I teach are a diverse group of kids. They are at the highest poverty level and most of them are reading below grade level. On a daily basis, they face financial hardships that prevent them from getting the resources they need to improve their reading. They also do not have the support from home to assist with improving their reading comprehension. Our school motto is "believing is achieving." However, it is very difficult to keep believing without these additional resources. These resources are essential for my middle students to help improve their reading skills for middle school, high school and beyond.
