These resources will be used for direct instruction (modeled reading) as well as center time during reading. A great way to keep young students engaged throughout the day is to incorporate games, multi sensory resources (i.e. sand), and hands-on manipulatives. Not only will these resources help them master certain skills to become better readers, but also to develop lifelong social skills by cooperatively working with their peers. Our school mission is to develop the whole child and help them to become globally competitive. Students must be exposed to other cultures and a great way to do that is through a read aloud. Books will allow me to bring the world to them!
