The shelves will provide ample storage for our large collection of classroom books. The students will have easier access and learn the important skills of library organization. I will organize books using the Dewey Decimal System just as school library and public libraries to allow the students daily practice of these skills. Shelves will also be a part of a cozy reading corner that is inviting for students. Students will always have pencils at their fingertips for writing in personal journals as well as writing in reading response journals to deepen their thinking about stories and characters they read about. The pencil sharpeners will provide quick, easy task of daily need for working writing utensils.
