I teach a self-contained exceptional children's class at Grantham Elementary School in Goldsboro, NC. I serve 3rd and 4th grade self-contained students and also a few 2nd grade resource students. My students enjoy moving around to different areas of the room for different activities and centers. Sitting in a desk is the worse thing you can ask them to do. They need constant stimulation to stay attentive. They love hands on activities that engage their learning. They also love technology and love when any type of technology is integrated with their learning. I just completed my first year of teaching and it was incredible! Each of my students hold a special place in my heart now and forever.
