These books with provide students the opportunity to see characters that look like them in literature and to help them understand the world around them. Having culturally rich literature within a student's reach is so important. For many students, they have not had the opportunity to visit the local library or engage with their peers in book discussions for some time. As we return to in-person learning, I want students to be able to engage and reconnect with literature. These books will help us create a strong classroom community where all students are heard and seen.
