Hi! I am a first year First grade teacher and I am creating a classroom where students are able to create, think, plan, share and experience the world around them. The children will be able to use the flexible seating to move around the classroom and become inspired. Not only does flexible seating help with disruptions, it also provides the students with a choice and an action to continue working to keep that choice theirs. The chairs allow students to rock, wiggle and move around without disrupting others. Experts have concluded that the movement increases brain stimulation. The easel will be used to hang anchor charts up and is easily moved around the classroom as needed. Other materials that I will be needing this year are leveled reading books, indoor/outside recess equipment and science center manipulatives. Thank you for your help in making these goals a reality!
