A light table will serve many purposes in my classroom. It will be used as an incentive for our token economy. Students will be able to work for the opportunity to play with materials of their choice on the light table. The light table will also allow students who struggle to engage in learning an incentive to participate in learning activities and work goals. Learning can be repetitive for my students. A light table will help bring a new dimension to sometimes repetitive work. It will transform work tasks into hands-on activities. A light table will make learning fun and entertaining, and most importantly, it will create a learning environment where students' sensory needs don’t overshadow their drive to learn and progress academically.
