A majority of my students' greatest academic challenges come from language arts. My students are 2-3 grade levels below with their reading skills. The items selected will help them increase their vocabulary and increase their phonics skills. Studies have shown that students who listen while reading along to printed word increase their skills much quicker than students who are just reading. The beanbag chairs will allow us to set up a comfortable reading area where students will be able to get away from their desks and work tables to relax and read a book or listen to words on audio.
