The students in my classroom are the reason that I come to work every day. My goal is to make their classroom a place where they want to learn and grow. While they are working together they should feel comfortable and have a place to put their materials to stay organized. With comfortable bean bag chairs, a rug and storage cabinets students will be able to move around the room freely, and work in teams. 21st century learning goals challenge us to collaborate and be creative, and my philosophy is comfortable environment is a creative one. In my classroom we use tables instead of student desks, which leaves us with no where to store notebooks and books. These shelves would be extremely helpful!
