The school I serve is very special because we have the most opportunities to make an impact. Our students are Title 1 and school dependent. Many of my students see school as a safe place. They face the challenges of poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness. They look to us as teachers to do so much more than teach. Many of our students are in deep need of enrichment and do not get many opportunities to venture outside their neighborhood. Throughout this school year students will be completing animal research projects. They will study and learn about their animal and complete digital presentations. This field trip will be the culmination of a lot of hard work and the best chance for my students to see their chosen animal up close!
