When my students walked into the room and saw these new additions, their faces instantly lit up with excitement. They couldn't believe that our classroom had been transformed into such a warm and welcoming space, and many of them immediately wanted to try out the bean bag and gather on the rug. It was a joyful moment that set a positive tone for the day and reminded them how much people outside our classroom care about their learning.\r\n\r\nWe have already started putting these resources to good use. The whiteboards have become a favorite tool during whole-group and small-group activities, allowing students to eagerly share their thinking and problem-solving strategies. The cozy rug and pillows have created a perfect space for independent reading and group discussions, while the bean bag chair has quickly become the most sought-after \"special seat\" for reading and reflection time. These additions have made our classroom feel more comfortable, collaborative, and student-centered.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far happened during a turn and talk. A small group of students gathered on the rug, sharing ideas using sentence stems written on the white board. They were so engaged in helping one another it filled my heart with joy. My students were just as excited as I was to receive the new learning manipulatives. They even helped me open all the boxes. =o) We use the phonics activities daily in small groups. Not only that... but on some Fridays, students also choose to partake in phonics activities rather than play computer games. That is amazing in this technology-driven day and age. \r\n\r\n The most rewarding benefit that I have seen is in test scores. I have seen literacy scores increase a significant amount on two different benchmark assessments. This is a huge accomplishment. I celebrated my students with an awards ceremony presentation. \r\n\r\nGoing forward, they will continue to read and practice over the summer. Many are actually eager to receive summer phonics work packets. =o) Having these resources has enriched my students' lives in ways that will impact them forever. The headphones and snacks and everything that was bought great greatly help my students.\r\nA lot of my students do not bring in a snack for the day and they are hungry by afternoon time all these snacks help them.\r\nThe headphones also helped them. Since most headphones break very easily these are a lot more sturdier and they help the students. The sticky notes definitely help me as well.
