Special education teachers are expected to deliver excellent instruction throughout the school day without the requisite tools to teach our students. I co-teach in a 4th grade classroom and have students who desperately need movement and sensory tools in order to stay focused throughout their school day. With these sensory tools and wobble stools I can help my students learn with out pulling them out of the classroom for sensory breaks. Thus more time learning in the regular education setting! My students would use these sensory tools and stools daily. These items will help create a focused, thriving, learning environment in my classroom. Theraputty is a great tool when my students are upset and need to work out there frustrations.
