The reasons I am asking for assistance with these supplies is so that I will be able to enhance my students' learning experience. Learning is much more meaningful for students when they are able to visualize key concepts. Learning should be fun! Learning should have shapes! Learning should have color! Colors are a key component of teaching. Students can understand similarities and differences when they are able to see these connections through the use of colored paper. Also, providing students with lessons via hands-on projects deepens their understanding. My students need basic project supplies such as: scissors, crayons, construction paper, colored copy paper and scotch tape to create meaningful projects. Donations to this project will improve my classroom because I will be able to liven up lessons for my students. Having students create colorful graphic organizers is so much more meaningful to students than having a graphic organizer printed on plain, white paper. When a lesson is supported with a hands-on activity, concepts are sure to stick.
