My classroom is located in a community where there is a significant amount of diverse learners. In my classroom I will have a majority of learners whose first language is not English. I want to be able to provide the learning and structures they will need in my classroom to not only help teach English but make them feel safe and welcome in my classroom.I am looking forward to creating a space where learning happens for all and all students are challenged to be and do their best. In my class, I will have a large emphasis on STEAM- Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. I would like to provide my students with the opportunity to explore and learn in all of these areas. My classroom is large! This means there is a great amount of space to create learning stations for my students and I look forward to keeping them actively engaged throughout their days with me.
