I am requesting reading medals to be used as an incentive for students who read daily and are making progress in their reading levels. At my school, we work very hard to get all our students to read fluently and to develop deep comprehension skills. Reading is the core of all subject areas. Students increase their reading comprehension, vocabulary and become better citizens through reading. Students who are able to achieve the goal of reading 25 books will be rewarded with a medal at a special assembly. I hope my school gets sponsors to help us reward our students for their achievements.
