My goal is to allow my students an oasis within the school where they can relax and experience adventures worlds away. My students are from a small rural school, many have never left the state. In my classroom, I want them to have an opportunity to experience adventures from around the world. Creating a reading corner, complete with new books, a bookcase, cushions, and a rug, will establish a welcoming environment for my students to relax and read. English classes have been known to be favorites because they allow students to be themselves and experience different realities from around the world. A reading corner has been a request for many years from my students!
